ENF Fundraising Ideas

Officers should lead by example:
Have a picture taken with all Officers making a donation. Put it in your newsletter, on website, and in the newspaper. Every Lodge should have 100% participation from Officers even if only $10 each.
  1. Make it easy for members and make them aware
    1. Do a separate mailing to each member explaining ENF and ask for donations
    2. Create space on your dues notice for donation (ask your lodge secretary)
    3. Indoctrination-tell your new members and ask for a small donation to get them started
    4. Share what ENF is for and what it does in your community every chance you get
  2. Recognition
    1. List names of new donors in Lodge Newsletter each month
    2. Recognition plaque in your Lodge for various levels of donations (i.e., $100, $250, $1000)
    3. Put a red heart on their membership card
    4. They can track their donations online
    5. ENF Hearts - any monetary donation (no expense to your Lodge)
  3. Raffles - specific to time of year
    1. 50/50 at any function you are sponsoring
    2. Gun raffle - could be 1 or 30 guns for 30 days
    3. Have a 50/50 at the door of the Lodge room on your meeting night
    4. Basket raffles (could be wine, food, liquor, etc)
    5. Gas grill
    6. Gas cards
    7. Tickets to a concert or sporting event
  4. Sporting
    1. Golf rournament (proceeds to ENF)
    2. Dart tournament (proceeds to ENF)
    3. Horseshoe (proceeds to ENF)
    4. No-Tap bowling tournament (one day event, easy money)
    5. Triple Crown races-hold a social event for each (Belmont Stakes, Kentucky Derby, Preakness)
    6. NASCAR 50/50's
    7. Host a tailgate party during a sporting event (tent, food, game on TV)
  5. Specific Fundraising Events
    1. Casino nights
    2. Poker Run
    3. Officers night-Officers run the kitchen for a dinner (proceeds to ENF)
    4. Harvest dinner
    5. Lodge donate proceeds from 1 Bingo night or bake sale at Bingo
    6. Chili cook-off (get some new members involved)
    7. Donate proceeds from one Belljar box
    8. Host a theme party on an upcoming holiday (St. Patrick's Day, Octoberfest, Mardi Gras)
    9. Host a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner)
    10. Have a bake sale
    11. Hold an auction - silent or not (solicit items from local craftspeople, cooks and stores)
    12. Comedy Night - hire professional comedians for dinner and a show or show only
  6. Other
    1. Collect $5.00 for each time a cell phone goes off during Lodge meeting
    2. Curse word jug on bar ($.50 for each violation
    3. "One more jug" ($.50 for each time someone says I'll have just one more)
